Shopping is one of our favourite national pastimes and is adored by millions. But what if you fancy a change from your usual shopping haunts? Take a trip to Leeds, dubbed the Knightsbridge of the north, as it might just be the place you’ve been looking for.
We chose our favourite shopping locations in Leeds to give you a helping hand on your next visit:
The Corn Exchange
If you’re sick of the retail giants and want to find some independent stores to pick up something a little different, then the wonderful Grade I Listed Corn Exchange is ideal.
Sitting proudly in the city centre, close to some of the best and newest Leeds restaurants, it’s also a centre for shows and music events – as well as hosting exhibitions. While you’re there try Red’s True Barbecue, but be warned it gets busy.

Harvey Nichols sits firmly, almost like a shining beacon, amongst other shops such as Ted Baker, Vivienne Westwood and Reiss.
This is the place if you are feeling particularly flush, but make sure you stop and take in its breathtaking Victorian architecture before deciding which shop to enjoy next.
